Types of Sausage Packaging:

  • Vacuum Packaging: This method involves removing air from the package before sealing it. Vacuum packaging significantly extends the shelf life by reducing the oxygen levels that spoilage organisms need to thrive.

Packaging solution:

  • Thermoforming rigid films:POLYESTER-based films (PET) are ideal for sliced salami, fresh pasta, sandwiches, sausages, ready meals and other foodstuff. This material is easily thermoformable. It is highly transparent and could be used on high productivity lines.

  • Flexible films for thermoforming:The POLYAMIDE-based films (PA) are suitable for the packaging of ripe cheese in pieces, smoked sausage and other food. This material, with excellent mechanical characteristics and good puncture resistance, provides a "middle" barrier. On demand, film with EVOH (High Barrier) can also be supplied.

  • Flexible films for thermoforming:The POLYPROPYLENE-based films (PP) are suitable for the packaging of ripe cheese in pieces, sausages, precooked food and other. This material has excellent mechanical characteristics and high puncture resistance.

  • Bags/Pouches:Vacuum films are combinations of PA, PE and/or PP, used to produce bags. These bags can also be used for low temperature Sous-Vide immersion cooking. The material can be embossed and / or printed with suitable inks.
